FIELD SALES MANAGER:
Master the concepts of the selling cycle, answering objections and closing techniques. Master concepts of consumer behaviour including qualifying leads, establishing rapport, networking and needs assessment. As a member of the office key staff, you will assist with the design and promotion of contests, participate in new rep orientation, and attend and contribute to management planning sessions. Practice public speaking and effective communication by preparing and delivering workshop topics to new representatives. You may also book, stage and staff booths at Fairs & Shows.
FIELD ASSISTANT MANAGER:
In addition to the skills above, you will practice the concepts of leadership including; serving as a role model, coaching others, and contributing to team building. Along with consistent sales, a selling assistant will take people field training, assist with interviews and assist with advertising.
ASSISTANT MANAGER:
You will build on the skills above, as well as take a more active role in the day-to-day office operations. Practice in developing training materials, delivering training programs, public speaking and classroom management techniques. Assist in advertising.
SALES MANAGER:
You will build on the skills above as well as practice with advertising analysis and the assessment and comparison of how different advertising approaches meet the advertising goals of a business. Master public speaking by running sales meetings, staff meetings and workshops. You will assist with Personal Consultations with new representatives and Personal Daily Interaction. Help with administrative duties in the office.
PILOT SALES MANAGER:
You will build on the skills above as well as practice concepts of sales management, supervision and development. Being a Pilot Manager means you are working directly with the Division Manager which will give you an increased amount of responsibility for the office.
BRANCH MANAGER
The Branch Manager works under the supervision of their District Manager, who directs the intern’s training and development. The average Branch Office is open 14 to18 weeks during the summer months. A Branch is an independent business owner who is personally responsible for the administrative and financial operations of his/her business. This position prepares someone to run their own District Office which would be open year round. As a Branch Manager you would perform all the duties that a District Manager would (see below) in their office, but for a shorter period of time. During the summer, you will have the opportunity to sell alongside your team. You can be considered for the Branch Manager position for your second summer with Vector. After your Branch experience you will be enrolled in a higher level training curriculum to prepare you for your second or third summer running a Branch Office. Most Branch Managers start without an Assistant Manager in the office. As a Senior Branch you will be in a position to have a team of staff entering the summer and most likely a larger territory to build your sales team. Your experience from your previous summers will help you grow your business and your skills at a much higher level.
DISTRICT MANAGER
A Vector District Manager is an independent business owner who is personally responsible for the administrative and financial operations of his/her business. District Managers will be trained to learn about a broad range of business management and sales management concepts through local, divisional and national training programs. You will have the full support of a multi-million dollar company behind you. You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. You will perform demographic and territorial analysis and research site location issues. You will prepare budgets, a business plan and conduct sales and staffing forecasting and advertising analysis. You will master professional communication skills including persuasion, negotiation, motivation, and critique, while maintaining a standard of professionalism and sales that sets a leadership example for the sales staff. You will develop your public speaking skills, including speech crafting, delivery styles, and audience management. You will work in developing training materials, delivering training programs, public speaking and classroom management techniques. You will work with a dynamic team of young people and help them achieve their goals during their time with Vector. You will begin to build a District by training, promoting and working with Branch Managers.
