I am married to my wonderful husband Alan and we have 2 children age 19 and 21. I love to travel with my husband on our gold wing motorcycle, travelling through Canada and the States. Also we look forward to going south for a couple of months in our RV.
WHY VECTOR?
I started with Vector Marketing 12 years ago as a part time job so I could stay home with my kids. I travelled in the evenings and weekends when my husband was at home. It was very important to me to work around the kids’ schedule. I never missed a school outing, soccer game, ballet classes or recitals. The best part of this job is that, it allowed my husband to play more of an active role with the kids so we were equally involved with them and it brought us closer as a family unit.
Now that the kids have left home (so to speak – I don’t think they will ever leave permanently), it has allowed me to step up the pace and make an income that has now replaced my husband’s. About 4 years ago, he had to leave work due to poor health and has not been able to return. He now helps me with my business, as once you get to a certain point; you can’t do it by yourself. He helps me with the paperwork, phone calls, emails, entering orders online, etc.
Selling Cutco Cutlery and making a good living at it, is simple….but not easy. I have a poster up in my den that reads:
I CAN DO IT… WITH HIS BLESSINGS, Smile,
Be positive… JUST DO IT.
TYPICAL WORK WEEK HOURS
It’s difficult to say how many hours per week I would invest into this business. It really does vary. During my busy periods, I work pretty much every day…even on weekends. However, I do have lots of time off as well. Remember, I can build my own schedule depending on my goals. I typically take off up to 2 months in the summer and about 2 months off during the winter months. This is my reward for working hard.
INCOME GOALS
I remember saying to my manager, I have to make $1000 a month, can I do that with Cutco? Well I attained that no problem so I stepped it up to $2000 a month and over time, I was able to increase this to $5000 a month. It takes hard work, focus and dedication to grow your own business, but with these attributes, I have now been able to increase my monthly income to average about $10,000+/-. What started as a part time job…12 years later, has turned into a wonderful career and a blessing.
It’s one thing to sell and have confidence in your product, but when you have a company like Vector Marketing backing you up, a great management team, and a customer service department, this all helps you in becoming successful. Remember… JUST DO IT!

WHY VECTOR?
I was searching for a sales job because I wanted the sales skills, as I was looking at going into a post graduate degree program to become an architect and felt the skills would compliment me in that field. I started by not knowing how long I would be here and have changed my “why” numerous times from attaining skills, to enhancing skills, to building a network, to learning how to run a business, to now giving myself a multitude of opportunities as I graduate this spring.
TYPICAL WORK WEEK HOURS:
Various; too much to keep track but I do enjoy having my Sundays free to watch football while I do school work.
INCOME GOALS
I want to start saving to buy a house a year after graduating. That is where my income goals are now; to not only buy the house, but put down a substantial down payment and still being financially sound after this investment. I want $100,000 in the bank in three years. Short term goals are to have $20,000 in savings prior to graduation.

WHY VECTOR?
Vector Marketing is far more than just a job. Beyond being an excellent income opportunity for me, it has made my life far better today than I could have ever imagined. I have mastered skills that people spend years learning in school, such as how to run my own successful business, being an effective leader, phone skills, and how to sell myself. I’ve learned that success requires planning and hard-work with a lot of enthusiasm. I’ve made incredible friendships and connections that I’ll have for the rest of my life. I started as a shy, ordinary 17 year-old boy and with Vector’s help over the past 5 years, I have grown into a confident and extraordinary man.
TYPICAL WORK WEEK HOURS:
It really depends on what my goals are and what time of year it is. In summers I usually will work 50+ hours per week, doing 25+ appointments, in the weeks I work. Around school varies a lot, depending on my course load. In the past around school I’ve worked 10-20 hours.
INCOME GOALS:
As in the past with Vector Marketing, my primary goal is to pay for all my schooling and related expenses. I can’t even imagine a way to be able to graduate debt free without the opportunity Vector Marketing provides. Having won 7 scholarships (and counting), I look forward to finishing school far beyond most of my peers financially and to get a head-start in life financially.

WHY VECTOR?
Why not Vector Marketing? It’s a company that actually cares about your growth; you can work as hard as you want and be rewarded accordingly. Just through being a sales rep you learn how to present yourself more professionally, be more confident, talk in front of a group and overall just manage your time better. The best thing about Vector Marketing is the people; the chance to meet amazing individuals that are growing themselves and motivate you to grow as well. Very few companies and work places actually encourage you to go out of your comfort zone and are willing to help you along the way. I have travelled to different countries, won scholarships, gained a vast amount of income and learned skills for life.
TYPICAL WORK WEEK HOURS:
15 to 20 hours a week around school. I make my own schedule so I can work as little or as much as I want!
INCOME GOALS:
This fall (4 months) I will make $12,000 when I reach my sales goals. Next year, 2012: I want to make at least $40,000 working 15 to 20 hours a week.

Hobbies
I love music, singing, theatre, and dancing. I want to be able to speak three languages fluently to help my future opera career.
Why Vector:
The Vector opportunity was given to me over two years ago when it just fell into my lap. One of my friends worked there and recommended me and everything fell into place! For me the question “why vector marketing” is simply answered – because it works! It worked great for my schedule when I went away to college and I was welcomed back with open arms for the summers! This is the best job I have had because of the flexibility in personal hours.
A typical work week:
A typical work week can vary greatly. When I was given the chance to run my own branch office, my work week was very busy! I gained so much experience and built my resume up greatly that I didn’t mind all the hours. When I am just a sales rep, work weeks are easier. I have tonnes of flexibility where I can move my hours around when things outside of work come up. If I have a music gig that pops up I can move my work stuff to another time. When one has their own schedule and gets to choose which hours they want to work, it makes succeeding manageable.
Income goals
To have $15,000 profit by the end of the summer!

WHY VECTOR?
My journey with Vector Marketing began in the summer of 2005, when I was interviewed for the position of a sales representative for Cutco knives. Six years has flown by! Phil Alsop who interviewed me is now a close friend and Queenie Li who was an applicant sitting next to me in the interview is now my best friend. The people in the business have taught me to think and dream big. I can credit Vector Marketing and my Vector family to shaping me into a well-rounded individual and I love the business because I continue to grow and become the best version of myself.
Vector Marketing is like a buffet; you can take as little or as much as you want from all the opportunities, such as travel, income, networking and management opportunities. In the last six years I’ve travelled to countless places, such as Miami, Phoenix, Whistler, Mexico, Bahamas, Cuba, Costa Rica,Hawaii, just to name off a few. I started selling Cutco Cutlery when I was in my first year of college and I understand that students are under a lot of pressure with school, work, and financial hardships. There are not many jobs in the market that allow for great income and a flexible schedule. Vector Marketing encourages students to complete their degrees by providing incentive scholarships throughout the year. I certainly took advantage of that opportunity as I have won over ten scholarships. When I completed school, I decided to further pursue Vector Marketing as a career. The income opportunity is limitless; since it is based on the amount of effort one puts into the position. I’ve learned the value of hard work and with the incentives Vector Marketing offers it is crazy not to work hard because hard work always pays off!
It’s incredible to think that I started this business with friends and family and now I have over 1,800 clients and I am over $600,000 in career sales. Networking is essential for any entrepreneurial business. The experience I’ve gained running a Branch office in 2008 and placing #2 across Canada was an unbelievable experience. It’s nice knowing you are in business for yourself but not by yourself. I am extremely grateful for everything Vector Marketing has given me because it really is an amazing place to be especially with the people that lead this business. They all continuously amaze me with their positive influence in their relationships, health, contribution to society, and most importantly the success of others.

WHY VECTOR?
I can sum it up in 4 words: People, Product, Travel, Freedom
I have been with Vector Marketing over 8 years now. During that time I have travelled many places around the world with Vector trips and personal trips. Some of my best friends and mentors have all come from working with Vector Marketing. I really enjoy the flexibility and freedom of running my own business for myself but not by myself. I like how nobody limits the amount of income I make. I make as much money as I want to work. It feels good to work with a world class product that the company actually stands behind. I never have to lie or exaggerate and I have so many customers thank me for selling it to them. This can be an extremely fulfilling and profitable position if you really give it a try, so I recommend you go for it. I am looking forward to the many more free trips to come, growing my business to the next level and meeting many new great friends along the way.
TYPICAL WORK WEEK HOURS:
My schedule varies week to week. I love being able to create my own schedule around trips, friends, family and life. Or as I like to say – I get to create my own destiny. I like to work hard then play hard. Then repeat.
The weeks I do work, I typically work 5 days a week, about 6-10 hours a day. Some weeks I obviously choose to work more and some weeks I don’t work or work less around trips.
INCOME GOALS
Last year I made over $60K and this year will be more and next year I would like to get to triple digits over $100K!
