Biography

I consider my experience with Vector Marketing to be one of the main pillars of my youth that has supported my successes to date.

The confidence I gained, the sales and interpersonal skills I developed, and the contacts I made during my time with Vector Marketing have been invaluable. I think of my time with Vector Marketing fondly and often. It’s an opportunity not to be missed.

Biography

What I appreciate most about the Vector Marketing opportunity was the ability at a young age to gain real life business experience. By the age of 21, I had been trained to sell, develop people, and manage and run my own business. I continued to hone these skills for 8 years within the company in various roles.

The most valuable skills I gained within Vector Marketing are the interpersonal skills. When I entered the teaching field five years ago, I was able to secure myself a full-time contract immediately! I attribute this to my ability to sell and market myself with confidence and my ability to network with other people building meaningful relationships each step of the way; all skills gained within Vector Marketing.

Today I enjoy a career as a high school teacher, utilizing my personal business experience in the courses and programs that I teach. In addition, Vector Marketing lit an entrepreneurial spark in me that allows me to continue to challenge myself in sales and business management with other reputable direct sales companies.

Biography

The experience with Vector Marketing gave me the building blocks and networking skills required to excel in the lucrative real estate profession at a very fast pace.  Cutco and Vector Marketing is the best “college for selling”. I began with no sales experience, and in three years I was a professional sales and business person. That experience has allowed me to excel in the business world.

Still to this day, people often think I have been in real estate selling for much longer than I have, because of the way I treat customers with experience, knowledge, confidence and care. Although I was selling knives, I really have been doing the same job since I was 18, just with different products.

Biography

As an anthropology graduate Vector Marketing opened up the world of business and sales to me. It gave me the skill set and the confidence to succeed in the tough but very rewarding field of sales. Because of my Vector Marketing experience I had companies calling me to ask me to come work for them including the company I am currently working for.

There are few places that could take an anthropology student with no previous experience and teach them to be a successful business owner and salesperson. Vector Marketing opened up a lot of doors for me and choosing to work with them is one of the best decisions I could have ever made.

Biography

It’s very hard to summarize all of the benefits that my experience at Vector Marketing provided me with. In addition to the income that I earned at Vector Marketing, which allowed me to complete my undergraduate degree, my experience there also gave me the discipline and self-confidence I needed to pursue an MBA and now a PhD at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

As a 4th year PhD student I am now an instructor for a 3rd-year course, “Principals of Marketing”, and I rely on personal stories from my experience as a sales rep and manager to illustrate concepts from business management, sales and sales management and even advertising, consumer behaviour and distribution.

Vector Marketing has been fundamental to my career. Having the opportunity to gain that type of experience at a young age truly separated me from other candidates on the market. My experience at Vector Marketing taught me work ethic, developed my communication skills and a great business sense.

Most importantly, it gave me confidence and helped me develop skills that I never thought I had. I’m running my own business today and I have to say THANK YOU to the Vector Marketing team for giving me the tools to succeed in the business world. What a Sharp company….. I had to throw in a knife joke!!!!!

Biography

When I think about my Vector Marketing experience, it seems as if it happened years ago, but when I think closely about it I realize that Vector Marketing has not left me. It’s there, everyday. In every interaction with colleagues, clients, witnesses, police officers or judges.

Every time I read a file and have to build an argument, Vector is there. It is there as well when I do a first interview with a client and need to “know” who he is in a short period of time; and when I have to plea in court, I have to sell. They didn’t teach me how to sell in law school. I learned that in Vector Marketing, period.

Thanks to the managers who helped me as a representative and as a Branch and District Manager. I got out of law school with years of experience in the field before I even had my first client. For that, I am forever grateful.

Biography

The skills I developed and honed over my 8 years with Vector Marketing are invaluable to my career today and life today. Learning how to effectively present one on one and in a group setting is something I use on a weekly basis in my current position.

Time management and organizing activities around work and my family life would be very difficult if I had not mastered this while at Vector Marketing.

The team and family atmosphere at Vector Marketing is truly amazing! Whether you are considering a career with Vector Marketing or just a summer position I would highly recommend it for the income potential and the opportunity to learn from such a great group of individuals.
